How to clear your browser, to avoid odd errors...

To increase performance, and by that usability, your web-browser Caches data to avoid to request the same information over and over again. The browser manage this Cache in a "smart" way, most of the time you won't notice, but then all of a sudden you notice that something is just not right.

The Cache will eventually be flushed in some hours or days, but you can also clear the cache manually. How to do that varies from browser to browser. As PALMA is officially supported Chrome we will listed the procedure for how o do this for Chrome.

  1. Press F12 (this opens Dev Tools in Chrome, which enable a lot of extra features)
  2. Select reload on the button to the left of the address bar
  3. Now Right-Click in the reload button (for some reason a reload is required to enable this)
  4. Select the option Empty Cache and Hard Reload
  5. Close DevTools by pressing F12 again

You may also try the Hard Reload shortcut, Ctrl+Shift+R, without clear cache and entering DevTools.

If this didn't work, the best option might be to do a local and session storage clear before doing the empty cache and hard reload.

You'll find this under F12 - Application - then right click and clear on the URL's, under local and session storage. Then you right click on the update icon on the left of the URL for the window and select empty cache and hard reload.
